Sandra Rubino

August 7, 1956 - September 12, 2021

Sandra Rubino, 65, of Montgomery, New York, passed away on Sunday September 12, 2021. Sandra was born on August 7, 1956 in New York, New York to Iris Barreto and Victor Rivera. She was the oldest of four children. Sandra had three children. She married the love of her life Arthur Steve Rubino on November 1, 1995. In 1984 Sandra became a New York City Police Officer. She was promoted to Detective soon after and was transferred to the Manhattan Special Victims Unit. Known as the "Perv Pursuer", she loved being a detective and was determined to seek justice for countless victims. She retired as a 1st grade Detective in 2005 after 21 years of service. Sandra loved to read her bible, praying for and with others, spending time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother and friend always thinking of others first. "To know her was to love her " Sandra leaves to cherish her loving memory to her husband, her children Liza, April, and Paul, her step-children Dara and Timothy, six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of family and Friends.
