Peter M. Ancona, Jr. It is with great sadness that the family of Peter M. Ancona, Jr. announces that he passed away on July 27, 2022, at Garnet Medical Center in Middletown, NY Peter was born in Middletown, NY to Joyce Hood Ancona and Peter M. Ancona, Sr. on September 3, 1949. Peter is survived by his loving wife Susan Loeffler Ancona of Middletown, NY, daughter Megan (Bill) Ancona of New Hampton, NY, son Ryan (Gislaine) Ancona of Cape Coral, FL, stepdaughter Kate (John) Pecora of Westtown, NY, stepson Michael (Javi) Benedetto of Middletown, NY, brother Ronald (Theresa) Ancona of Colonie, NY, his beloved grandchildren William, Olivia and Aiden Davis of New Hampton, NY, Nicholas and Sophia Ancona of Cape Coral, FL, Jack, Sofia and Brielle Pecora of Westtown, NY, nephews Daniel (Nicole and children) Ancona of Malta, NY, Scott (Lauren) Ancona of Rotterdam, NY and Matthew (Michelle) Ancona of Colonie, NY and several cousins. Peter had many talents including music, photography, and computers and he passed his love of these to his grandchildren who loved him beyond measure. Peter enjoyed many childhood summers swimming, fishing, and boating at his grandparents’ cabin on Wolf Lake with his brother and cousins. The cabin always remained a cherished place where he entertained his family with many stories. He also looked forward to the Ancona family Christmas celebration every year.
