Jay J. Mader Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jay J. Mader, 84, of Middletown, NY, passed away Sunday, May 8th, at Orange Regional Medical Center , Middletown, Jay was born in Milton, PA on January 24, 1932, a son of the late Gilmore and Charlotte Cox Mader. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a A1C during the Korean War. He retired as a Technician at Reynolds Metals Middletown, NY., He was a life member of Town of Wallkill Ambulance Corps, served as a peace officer for the Town of Wallkill, was a member of the American Legion Post 151, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 692 Middletown and a former member of Mechanicstown Fire Company Fire Police. He is survived by his wife Mary Myers Mader at home; his daughter with whom he lived with during his illness Tracie, wife of James Rohner, of Milford, PA; his step son Richard Speirs and his wife Coleen, of Wurtsboro; grandson Steven Babcock, granddaughter Samantha Speirs; his Sister Syvila Mader, of Elizabethtown, PA. and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Bob Mader and Wayne Mader, sisters Mary Mader, Ruth Mader, June Mader , Phyllis Mader & Janet Young. Friends are invited to call from 5-8PM with veteran and Funeral Services at 7PM on Thursday, May 12th at Morse Funeral Home Inc. 33 Railroad Ave, Middletown, NY. Following Cremation burial will held at The Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY with Military Honors.
